In an elevated position overlooking the lush green olive groves of the ‘Valle D’Itria’ is Villa Moda; a newly built house set in its own olive grove combining traditional features and elegant design, providing an idyllic retreat for families or groups of up to eight people.
The interior of the villa has been stylishly designed by an interior designer who has specified high quality furniture and fittings as well as bespoke kitchen cabinets that cleverly hide everything away to preserve the serenity of the space. It has already featured in an interiors magazine.
The villa has four bedrooms; two doubles and two with twin beds which can also be set as doubles. The two double bedrooms have en suite facilities and there is a large luxurious family bathroom for the remaining two bedrooms to share. There’s traditional stone flooring throughout which keeps the rooms cool during the warm Pugliese summers. The main reception room has a traditional vaulted Tufo stone ceiling constructed by local craftspeople which creates a special atmosphere inside. At the kitchen end, there’s a Calacatta marble island, ideal for preparing an aperitivo while watching the technicolour sunsets. There’s wifi, TV, and a record player too!
There are plenty of places surrounding the villa in the extensive grounds to relax and admire the far reaching views. The large roof terrace invites you to enjoy a dawn yoga session, a private sunbathe, or sip a cocktail at sunset and wait for the stars to appear. There is an ancient stone aia to explore; this is a walled area where donkeys once threshed the wheat under foot. The infinity edge 10x5m swimming pool is set in a terrace overlooking the valley to the olive groves beyond and is the ideal place to cool down during the hot Summer days.
There is an abundant amount of local restaurants that serve the renowned authentically delicious Pugliese fare this is not to be missed. Experiences such as mozzarella making, wine tasting and pasta making can be also be arranged to fully immerse you in the region’s rich culture. The villa estate produces its own Olive Oil which can be enjoyed during your stay and purchased if you get hooked! Also there are fig, almond, peach and other trees bearing fruit that can be freshly picked and enjoyed.

What we love
Villa Moda has been designed so that there’s a connect running through the house, with materials that flatter each other and have a natural and calming effect. We love the feeling of space; the huge central space provides a communal experience and each bedroom opens to its own patio to enjoy a quiet moment to read a book and relax. The views are incredible and we love watching the sunsets with a sun-downer.
