Dating back to the 15th century, Casa Doppia is a delightful two bedroom stone cottage with a plunge pool surrounded by olive trees and country views.
Casa Doppia was originally two structures that have been united, adapted and totally reformed maintaining their original and typical characteristics; the vaulted ceilings, the limestone walls and local stone floors, the original working fireplace and the cistern for capturing rainwater. Preserving these features, the cottage has been transformed to include bathrooms, an integrated kitchen, external pergola, large windows and under-floor heating to provide every modern comfort within this antique building full of charm.
Casa Doppia offers accommodation for four people in two bedrooms, one has a double bed and the other has twin beds, and a cot is available on request. The central space incorporates the kitchen, a dining table seating four, a sofa and armchairs with TV and blu-ray. The outside terrace has an external kitchen, a pergola providing shade and a table for al fresco meals.
The 3.5 x 2m pool is ideal for families with small children and provides wonderful respite from the summer sun. Please note that the pool is open between June and September.
A great destination for any season, here you can always take advantage of the mild and sunny climate of southern Italy.
Located in the Itria Valley, famous for the conical roofed trulli Casa Doppia is immersed in olive groves, vineyards and almond groves, a small rural paradise just 20 minutes from white sand beaches and turquoise sea, and only seven minutes from the pretty town of Cisternino.
Casa Doppia costs £140 per night and a €40 cleaning fee is added to the final bill. Please note that the owners request a security deposit of £250.
We spent 5 days in this lovely house in Puglia, and it fulfilled all of our expectations. It’s in the countryside, the view is stunning and there are no close neighbors. The location is perfect to explore the nearby towns, but also close to the beach. All in all we had a perfect holiday, and would definitely return. Highly recommendable! (September 2017)
